Real science never tries to prove a hypothesis; it tries to disprove it. That said, it is a complete waste of time to look for a king named Solomon.

As long as a fundamental tenant of essentially all religions is that the 'others' must be 'converted', there can never be lasting peace.

An interesting article, but I believe the opinion is seriously flawed. I received an MBA in 1983, so perhaps my perspective on the matter is somewhat outdated, but I see that several of the posters have the idea.

It is possible, indeed that life evolved more than once on earth, but if it is to be found, it will have to be in an environment more isolated than one I could imagine, even more than embedded in deep rock. If two completely different types of life exist, I would guess that only will survive …

Such a delicate subject. The most reserved and patient of humans may suddenly bare the teeth of a tiger when the subject of their faith is raised in a way that might challenge their beliefs.
